Mental Health Work Release Males — Saturdays 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sundays 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Work Release Females County Returning Residents — 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, State & Federal — 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Male Drug and Alcohol In-patient — Saturday 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Female Drug and Alcohol In-patient —Saturday 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Federal Returning Residents — Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm

State Returning Residents — Sunday 9:30 am to 10:30 am

County Returning Residents — Saturday 9:00 am to10:00 am

Visitor Rules for all Programs

  • If a returning resident or visitor leaves the designated visiting area for any reason to include the bathroom the visit will be terminated and the returning resident is to return to the floor.
  • No more than 3 visitors per visit. Each child counts as one person. Children and youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All adult visitors must have valid photo identification.
  • Visitors cannot be on any type of probation or parole.
  • Visitors are subject to search.
  • Visitors are to arrive at Renewal no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled visit time. Visitors are to wait on the 1st floor until directed by staff to the designated visitation area Visitors are to leave the visitation area and directly exit the building as indicated by the staff on duty. There is no extension of visitation times.
  • Visitors are restricted to the designated visiting area.
  • Any inappropriate sexual contact (i.e. fondling, groping, etc.) is not allowed. Visitors who are dressed provocatively may be prohibited from visiting.
  • Visitors are not permitted to bring purses, tobacco products or cell phones into the facility. Renewal staff is not permitted to store the above listed belongings for visitors.
  • Visitors and returning resident are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times during visitation. Behaviors that could be deemed offensive or that interfere with another returning resident’s visitation and/or Renewal staff or business will not be tolerated. Violation of these guidelines will result in a revocation of visitation privileges and possible disciplinary sanctions for the returning resident.

Mail Procedures

 

US Mail is delivered to Renewal, Inc.’s designated P.O. Box addresses every day except Sundays and holidays. Designated staff sort all incoming mail and distribute it to your Case Manager, Counselor, or designated staff member.

All mail addressed to you will be provided after it has been reviewed and sorted. Renewal, Inc. reserves the right to inspect any incoming or outgoing mail that may pose a security or safety concern. All individuals are required to open their mail in the presence of a staff member.

Individuals are expected to use their own supplies (paper, envelopes, stamps, etc.) for sending mail. Individuals who cannot afford postage or basic mailing supplies may receive assistance for a reasonable number of letters per month with approval from their Case Manager or Counselor.

Reentrants and residents are not permitted to provide Renewal, Inc.’s physical address unless it is required for government documents or employment. All other mail—including from the Clerk of Courts, online purchases, banks, insurance companies, attorneys, judges, and personal or legal contacts—must be addressed to the appropriate P.O. Box.

Mail Rules

  • All mail must be sent to your designated P.O. Box.
  • Mail sent directly to a physical building address may be returned to sender.
  • Individuals may not receive cash through the mail. Only money orders are permitted—no exceptions.
  • Packages require prior approval from your Case Manager or Counselor. Unapproved packages will be returned to sender.
  • Only USPS packages are accepted. No Amazon deliveries or private couriers.
  • A forwarding address form must be completed upon discharge to ensure mail is sent to your new address.
  • Mail from government agencies or that contains personal identifiable information (e.g., Social Security notices, W-2s) must be updated directly with the agency, as these items cannot be forwarded.
  • Individuals may not send or receive correspondence from individuals currently incarcerated at another facility without written approval from the Vice President of Program Services and the supervising jurisdiction.
  • Individuals may not receive pornographic or otherwise offensive materials through the mail.
  • All mail rules are outlined in the Reentrant or Resident handbooks. A separate list of correspondent rules will be provided for individuals writing to or receiving letters from reentrants.

Contraband, Responsibility & Liability

All items delivered through the mail are considered the property of the individual to whom they are addressed. Each individual is responsible for any items they receive, including contraband or items intentionally concealed.

Any attempt to send or receive contraband or unauthorized items will result in disciplinary and/or legal action. If contraband is detected, it will be confiscated and cataloged according to jurisdictional requirements. Depending on the type of contraband, the supervising jurisdiction and/or local law enforcement may need to be notified. Senders of mail containing contraband will be prohibited from sending future correspondence.
